The Rapid Security Response is available for the latest version of Apple phones. If you have iOS 16.5.1 or iPadOS 16.5.1, you can be one experiencing the feature. With the help of this program, major security improvisations can be communicated between different software updates. But the option is available only for the latest versions of iOS.
For Mac users must have 13.4.1 (a) to be able to use the rapid security response option. Although it seems to be an important update that will happen, there is still no information as to when or what exactly will get fixed with this approach.
Apple however has shared some information about why such rapid security response updates are essential.
According to them, these security responses deliver essential security updates between different updates done to the software. These would include but are not limited to improvements made to the Safari web browser, the Webkit framework stack, and other such essential library systems. Also, issues existing in the wild would be refixed through these programs.
The release is an 82.5 MB size whereas the latest update is just 2.7 MB.
If your device is set for automatic updates, they would not need to be downloaded but will be auto-installed as soon as the update hits your phone.
If not, you can move to the Settings option and find out more about the latest available update options. After completing the download, you will need to reboot your device to make your update operational in your device.
To confirm that you got updated with the right option, you will need to check if it has an (a) next to it from the About segment.
