Neeyat: Vidya Balan’s New Movie! OTT Release Date, Cast, Plot, and More Revealed

Vidya Balan, the most intuitive face of Indian cinema can be seen in the theatres again with another movie, Neeyat, a suspense thriller. It is the reunion of the Shakuntala Devi’s team and the movie is directed by Anu Menon, and is produced by both Prime Video and Vikram Malhotra who leads Abundantia Entertainment. It is their second movie after Ram Setu which failed to attract audiences earlier.

The star cast of the movie includes Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Ram Kapoor, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Prajakta Koli, Niki Walia, Shashank Arora, and Danesh Razvi. Kausar Munir has written the dialogues and Girvani Dhyani, Advaita Kala, Anu Menon, and Priya Venkataraman have written the screenplay.

A gripping suspense thriller, Neeyat is released in the theatres on 7^th July 2023 and is all about solving a crime. Balan is a detective unlike any and is all set to investigate the murder that happens at a billionaire’s birthday party where every suspect is hiding more than one secret in plain sight.

Box office collection

On the first day at the box office, the film was greeted by a collection of Rs 1.20 crore.

The film is also being planned for an OTT release and is set to hit Prime Video at a later date. There is no official announcement of a date so far as to when they plan to release it on Amazon Prime. It might appear sometime in September 2023. It is heard that Amazon Prime has already acquired the rights to the movie and will soon be releasing a date when the movie will be available on Prime.

This would be Balan’s fourth film release on Amazon Prime after her last three acclaimed films- Jalsa, Shakuntala Devi, and Sherni.
