Major Highlights

  • Apple’s iPhone 15 launch delayed and is due to the manufacturing restrictions faced by the LPTO display.
  • Some predict there could either be a release delay while others predict a limited number of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max during the September release.

As claims are being made, Apple iPhone 15 launch is delayed and it would mean there would be no September releases this year. However, some other sources feel the company might go for the releases in September but might have a limited supply of Apple Pro 15 and Apple 15 Pro Max.

Did Apple confirm iPhone 15 launch delay?

Apple is yet to confirm what they plan to do. What we present here are mere speculations as per people and outsiders. Unless someone is confirming it from inside, we cannot be ultimately sure if there would be a delay.

Many claim and confirm the delay might be due to the restricted manufacturing of LPTO displays. These displays will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Manufacturing these displays is not easy and not in the huge quantities that they would be needed.

As per Wamsi Mohan, A Bank of America global security analyst, the release date could extend into the fourth quarter.  There would be four phones in the series- two Pro and two non-Pro models. The non-Pro models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Mini will still launch in September. The Pro models were to be the star of the day and their release will get delayed due to their screen type. They have also been adorned with some other wonderful features like an A17 Bionic chip, USB-C port, and even Thunderbolt 3.

With Thunderbolt 3, you can expect faster data transfer speeds. Apple plans to also drop off the silent switch from the Pro models. The technology they would replace it with is the customizable action tab as found in the Apple Watch ultra model.

You will also be able to witness a titanium frame instead of a stainless steel one as seen in the Apple iPhone 14 Pro models. The desire to provide customers with slimmer bezels is what is creating trouble for the tech giant’s punctual release scheme. Tech enthusiasts and buyers are eagerly waiting for a news update from their end as many would be disappointed if the release does not happen in September.
