What is Sab Zenzele Kabili?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n SAB Zenzele Kabili is the largest B-BBEE scheme presented by SAB (South African Breweries). The first empowerment scheme was known as SAB Zenzele which was launched in 2010. It was started with 42,000 shareholders having a worth of R14 billion for the beneficiaries and R9.5 billion return value. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Back then, if someone had invested R100 for a ten-year period, then upon maturity, they would have now received R77,518 excluding tax values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company is now offering the opportunity of reinvesting a part of the earnings. This opportunity is being presented to the SAB Zenzele retail shareholders through the SAB Zenzele Kabili scheme owning R5.4 billion worth of AB InBev shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is going to be listed on the B-BBEE segment of the JSE from May 28 2021. This will facilitate liquidity and broaden the ownership to other B-BBEE investors. including existing qualifying SAB employees via a new employee stock ownership plan. The scheme was scheduled for rollout last year but due to Covid-19, the launch of the scheme was postponed until this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The listing price of the SAB Zenzele Kabili shares 2nd version will be R140 and the underlying asset will be AB InBev which will be trading at R1000.<\/p>\n\n\n
