CoD: Warzone 2 DMZ Mode Explained (Complete Guide)

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 was just released this week, and many gamers may be mistaken that this Warzone is not just an ordinary update but a new game separate from the Warzone released in 2020.

The progress and items that you had in the old version will not be transferred to this 2.0 version, and the old version is said to be slowly released by Raven Software developers with their focus on the sequel.

Learning The Differences

Warzone 2.0 presents a stronghold system that will later contain AI troops. Strongholds are randomly scattered across 3 locations in each match. Those who successfully raid these locations will gain “loadout” access, where players can pick up weapons and other equipment that has been set up and customized as they like before the match.

Loadout is a very important system in Call of Duty Warzone, seeing that each player has their own preference for weapons and attachments that are comfortable for them to hold. Previously, you could easily access loadouts, namely buying them at the shop in a match. Now the system is changed, and loadout can only be accessed by completing this stronghold mission.

Warzone 2.0 detaches Warzone’s simple inventory system for a system closer to other battle-royale games like Apex Legends or PUBG. This backpack system requires players to sort what they want to carry. This system received quite a negative reception from old fans because it was thought to make the looting system slower, especially when looting enemy corpses.

But this system brings a lot of potential for more strategic gameplay and just needs more adjustments from both gamers and developers alike.

In the previous game, players could enter three armor plates with reserves that can be carried as many as five plates. However, the capacity can be increased to 8 if you manage to find a satchel.

Warzone 2.0 tweaked the armor system a bit, with all players only able to equip two armor plates unless they encounter level 3 armor which is rare throughout gameplay. But the upside is that they can carry as many armor plates as they want because of the backpack system mentioned earlier.

Warzone 2.0 tries to bring a new idea to the circle system that exists in many battle royales. Rather than just opening one battle zone that gets smaller the longer the game lasts, Warzone presents three separate zones which will then merge into one.

This system makes the gameplay more interesting because, in the beginning, all players will be divided into three groups before being gathered into one area, which usually forces them to penetrate the gas, which means players have to find the gas mask somehow before the merging phase.

Apart from just swimming, players who are in the water are given a little resistance by being given underwater swimming mechanics and also shooting while in the water. This is a small change but throws away a little of the players’ frustration when forced to cross the waterway to get to the next circle.

And about the connection, it’s likely the same as the previous games. For COD, we highly recommend using a VPN to maintain connection stability. We know that it’s not easy to choose best gaming VPN when comes to security issues. However, you better choose one with better gaming features that may accommodate your gaming sessions.

About The DMZ Mode

Reporting from Gamerant, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will provide a new mode called DMZ mode. This DMZ mode has indeed been rumored for a long time to appear since 2021. This DMZ mode is planned to actually be released at the end of 2022.

DMZ mode is inspired by Escape from Tarkov, a multi-player first-person shooter game developed by Battlestate Games. Inspired by its base story gameplay, it tells the story of 2 private military groups fighting in a fictional region called Norvinsk. Well, the DMZ mode itself will later give you an online multi-player game mode, where later you will meet as many other players as possible.

Superfriends, in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, besides presenting the DMZ mode, this game also provides updates on several maps, such as Al-Mazrah, which are increasingly challenging for you to conquer. There are a few changes from the previous version, as well as more exciting places for you to optimize in killing enemies.

Apart from that, Al-Mazrah has extraordinary visuals, and there are many places that have superior angles which overlap with each other. Also, on this new map, there are lots of waterways all over the place, not just on the coastline. So, you can make the best of it, the newest water vehicle available in COD: Warzone 2.

There are also quite a lot of vehicles on the land, starting from Hummer EVs, Sedans, ATVs, and also other four-wheeled vehicles. Al-Mazrah is also quite realistic with its gameplay. Why? For example, if you need money, you can check the store cashier that you meet. Then, if you need medical stimulation and a healing kit, you can see an area with walls. Later, you will find it at a defibrillator station, much like in office buildings.

A new feature that is no less interesting than Warzone 2 is also the proximity chat. This newest system will allow you to hear the voices of nearby players outside of your team members. Crazy!

So, what do you think? Are you ready to become a champion in DMZ COD: Warzone 2 mode? We here are really excited about the new mode, how about you?
